Halloween Party No. 2
Sunday, October 30, 2005
It was a great party, but we realized that with the time change, the bars would be open for an extra hour, so we had to go out. The sober ones drove and we ended up loosing Megan, but we found her! Codi got sick on the way home when her Kendra, Jermo, jason and Miranda went home. I have some pics I'll post. Later
Halloween Party No. One
Saturday, October 29, 2005
So, I didn't have a costume because I was lazy and didn't get the devil ducky costume ready, go figure. At work Megan told me to be The Redneck Revrend that I was ordained to be. Anyhow we went to Jordan's party, he is one of the cooks at Bill's, and only some of the people there were dressed up so I could have waited to dress up for tonight. A couple of work people were there, but most of the beer was gone thank god we brought our owm, what would have happened if we didn't? Well after the party we went to Tappe's house and made sure that he was not with Crista. That's another story. Anyway, we got back to the house and talked John into going backraoding. Anyway- okay yes have to go eat. Party tonight at my house. Berr, heck yea.
BINGO!!
Monday, October 24, 2005
We had made plans to go play Bingo Sunday, and after we all got around we finally made it down there. The casino had signs telling you where to turn on the roads, but no signs on the building or in the parking lot, so we guessed and Megan asked some people in the parking lot and we found it. Well, the lady on the phone had said it started at 12:30, and some games did but after we talked with the lady selling the tickets we found that the pack of games didn't start until 2. So we bought our pack ($13) and sat there trying to figure out what the heck was going on. It isn't like regular old Bingo that you normally play in class or anywhere else. There are special patterns, rules, they go fast, you have 9 cards at a time, there are other special games going on, monitors with the next number, old women everywhere and us without a clue. Chelsea and I went to play some penny slots for 30 minutes while we waited, it took awhile for the ticket lady to explain the stuff to us and Megan found a friend when this old lady sat next to where we were sitting. Megan started talking with her and by the time we got back, she knew how to play. So, Megan filled us in and we started marking our cards. There was an extra game of Bonanza that was going on and had to find out latter that there is a seperate board with numbers that they have been drawing and those are the Bonaza numbers and you mark that card in between the other games and it's blackout. But if you think you have a bad card you can trade with a dollar for 2 more cards. The less numbers it takes to bingo, the more money you win. Then one of the guys walking around handout the prize money and checking the bingos helped us with another game, double play bingo. On that card there were 2 numbers per box and if either number was called you marked the whole box, it was blackout too. So that guy would by periodically and look over our shoulders to make sure we at least looked like we knew we were playing bingo. Then there was this other U Pick Em bingo card we got. On that one you pick any number 1-75 and make your own card of 9 numbers and 2 free spaces, the columns didn't matter. Then you take the carbon copy of your card you made over to the boxes and put it in the right box with the matching serial number and they lock that up when it starts, but it's the next to last game. We play along for a long time. Megan had a lot of almost and Chelsea and I almost had some almosts, Chels came close once. Then on the U pick em, I won! They had called a lot of numbers and I had a lot of them. Then I was down to one and the old lady said think 21, it's all you need and sure enough 21 showed up on the monitors and I yelled BINGO!! I'm sure it sounded stupid but it's exciting! Then the lady came over to check the card and you have to wait for the number on the monitor to be called before it's an oficial nubmer, so she had to stand there and tell everyone that he had to call the next number. Basically, I'm a dumbass. When they checked the copy over in the box I won $150! The old lady pointed out to us that if I had won in 6 less numbers called I would have gotten $10,000. The $150 was consilation, but I didn't care. We played for 4 hours on the $13 pack and I think we had a good time at least I know I did.
fall break
Tuesday, October 18, 2005
This Monday and Tuesday were Fall Break, and I did exactly that. I know I posted that were were going to go to Denver, but everybody decided against it to work or because we didn't have the money, so I worked on Saturday and Monday and that was it. Oh yeah, and a little something about getting my last paycheck, we'll see where that goes. Back to the books and work tomorrow. It's been a good break though. I liked not doing anything but that doesn't last long.
white party
Sunday, October 09, 2005
Friday night was the White Party, or Dustin's birthday party. ***Clarification, everyone was to wear all white, not any other forms of what your mind wandering of "white party" will come up with!!*** We all went down to Purcell, or according to Chelsea "Versaille", for the Jones football game. We left early b/c they were getting beat badly and made it back up here to go to the party. We were all looking good in our white stuff. Once we go to the white party it was out of control and they had run out of beer, so we went to the bars. You should have seen the looks we got as soon as we walked in the bar. It was funny, we thought that next time we would try to pick another color to wear out. Saturday I had to work, so I got to listen to OSU choke again, but got to watch OU lose so it wasn't all bad. Now it's time for homework.
time for an update
Sunday, October 02, 2005
Yep, another update except I don't really have anything to write about. Nothing much going on other than the usual. I am looking forward to the white party on Friday. You have to wear ALL white for the party, sounds fun. Of course the Fall Break trip too, it should be awesome! I think our refugee, Chelsea, has moved back to her house. They say they have the problem fixed, but who knows. That's about it, back to laundry.
