Hm

Well, there is not much going on here. Pretty much the same old, same old. I am looking forward to this weekend, we're celebrating Jen's birthday and it will be a good one for everyone. You should make it out with us and celebrate with us. Ken Hill's birthday is around the corner. Although, she already has plans for a whole weekend-long celebration I'm sure we'll be there in spirit.

I'm glad the snow is over but now with the melting, the MUD has arrived. Dask has to get a bath everytime he comes inside now. He makes longer trips outside but then a short trip to the bath tub right away. It's amazing he still remains white!

Also, the State of the Union address is bringing all sorts of talk now. I think it interesting how people are now talking about politics I guess it must be the few days of the year when people climb up on their soap boxes and act like they really care. Not that I am the model citizen myself, but I notice that the crazies try to make a point only a few times instead of sticking with their issues all of the time and making it count at the voting booths. Ok, enough of my soap box. Good night.

ICE!!!!

Sunday, January 14, 2007

Ah!!! As the weathermen would have you to believe: the sky is falling and it is in the form of ice, or is it sleet or is freezing rain or is it snow? Whatever it is, it's not fun! Especially when you go to do your normal shopping at where else, the Wal Mart, and due to the riot like induced conditions from the weathermen, you are greeted by a handmade sign, "We are currently out of all bread" well thanks! Luckily we weren't in need of bread. So, even with the "Storm 2007", so early too, I still had to go to work Friday! Luckily we did close at five, but in the mean time there was some excitement. As I was watching the intersection right outside the downtown store for a wreck to happen, here come two ladies without jackets looking a little rough. They come in side asking for a bathroom and a car charger. Well, with the one gone to another store for the bathroom request, the other is charging her phone in store because she didn't have the money to buy it because they just got released from jail and she was just needed to call her ex. OMG! It was like a bad movie scene as the precip was coming down she continued to tell me the story of their new found friendship due to their recent incarceration together. The other cell buddy came back from the bathroom trip and had already found them jackets and a ride! That was about all the excitement from work and then it was home for the weekend. Yesterday was filled with a lot of nothing. Which was nice. I've almost finished a new book I bought with another to start just waiting on me. I've also found some good online games and know all about the up-to-the-minute road conditions thanks to the over zealous news teams. But at least they are trying. I do feel sorry for the poor new saps that are stuck out for the live action shots. That has been comical watching them every two minutes as they cut back to see how it's going and what can they say, "Well, it's still coming down out here, not many cars driving by, it's really cold, we advise you to just stay inside, back to you". LOL, ok back to the doing nothing while I can before it's back to work tomorrow. Later,
